Kushan Thakkar

Kushan Thakkar is an experienced leader in machine learning and applied science at Amazon, currently serving as the Head of Applied Science for Digital Discovery & Personalization since 2021. Previously, from 2019 to 2021, they led a team of over 20 data scientists and engineers in marketing and growth strategies for Amazon Music. Prior to Amazon, Kushan worked at ZS in various roles, including Data Science Manager, where they developed ML-driven solutions for the pharma and biotech industries. Kushan holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master's Degree from Columbia University.
