Kyle Teschendorf

Kyle Teschendorf is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in spacecraft design and structural engineering. From June 2018 to March 2020, Kyle worked at Northrop Grumman as an Associate Mechanical Engineer and later as a Mechanical Engineer, where responsibilities included leading the design and manufacturing of satellite structures and managing costs for satellite subcomponents. Kyle then joined Amazon, initially as a Hardware Development Engineer I and II between October 2021 and September 2022, and currently serves as a Hardware Development Engineer III for Project Kuiper, focusing on primary and secondary spacecraft structures. Prior experiences include an internship at Shell, where important work involved finite element analysis related to hazardous procedures, as well as a co-op at Caterpillar Inc. that provided foundational skills in mechanical design and tolerance analysis. Kyle earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a cumulative GPA of 3.90/4.00.
