Liwei Che

Liwei Che is an accomplished researcher and machine learning engineer with extensive experience in federated learning, adversarial learning, and semi-supervised learning. Liwei has held positions as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Union Big Data and Tencent, and as a Research Intern at Penn State University, where contributions included the development of federated frameworks to address multi-modality challenges and improve sentiment analysis accuracy. As a Research Assistant, Liwei proposed the FedtriGAN model, achieving state-of-the-art results in semi-supervised classification. Current roles include Applied Scientist at Amazon and PhD Student at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Liwei holds a Master’s degree in Informatics from Penn State University and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from both the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and the University of Glasgow, complemented by leadership training at the University of Maryland.
