Lukas Gosch

Lukas Gosch is a PhD student at Technical University of Munich, conducting research at the intersection of machine learning and optimization in the Data Mining and Machine Learning Group. Previous experience includes roles as a tutor at University of Vienna and Technische Universität Wien, along with internships at Queen's University Belfast, Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing, and the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, where fundamental machine learning research was conducted. Lukas also completed a master thesis project at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, winning the master's thesis prize from the Austrian Society of Operations Research in 2021. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Technische Universität Wien and a Master of Science in Computational Science from the University of Vienna, along with studies in Data Science and Scientific Computing at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. Currently, Lukas is an Applied Scientist Intern at Amazon, focusing on middle-mile network optimization.
