Maozhi Tang has experience as a Research Assistant at Nanjing University Distributed Computing Lab from September 2015 to October 2017, where a first-author paper was published at the IEEE Mobile Ad Hoc and Sensor Systems conference in 2016. Maozhi developed a system for handling real-scenario images using the ORB-based feature extraction algorithm along with KNN, Bayes, and SVM classification algorithms, and devised a strategy that improved detection accuracy from 79% to over 99%. Currently, Maozhi serves as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon since May 2019, after obtaining a Master's degree from UC Irvine in 2018.
