Marcus Poggi

Marcus Poggi is a Principal Research Scientist at Amazon and an Associate Professor on leave from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. They previously served as the Head of Data Science at Stone and Managing Director at Accenture. Earlier in their career, Marcus was an Assistant Professor at Universidade Estadual de Campinas and co-owned Gapso, where they also acted as CTO before it was acquired by Accenture. They hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Polytechnique Montréal, as well as a Master of Science in Systems Engineering and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, both from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
