Mark

Mark MA is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in applied science and machine learning. Currently serving as an Applied Scientist II at Amazon since June 2022, Mark works on large language model initiatives, alongside a previous role focused on natural language processing for PTX initiatives. In addition to this, Mark is a Venture Partner at Scale Asia Ventures and Scout Manager at UpHonest Capital, both positions held since September 2022. Previously, Mark worked as an AI/Machine Learning Engineer at Railtown AI Technologies, contributing to AI initiatives and product roadmaps leading up to the company's IPO in 2022. Mark’s academic background includes a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia, complemented by a Bachelor's in Building and Real Estate from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Early experience also includes roles in software engineering, civil engineering, and research, reflecting a diverse skill set in technology and engineering.
