Maryna Karpusha

Maryna Karpusha is an Applied Scientist at Microsoft, specializing in deep learning, computer vision, and recommender systems. Previously, they served as the Machine Learning Research Team Lead at Borealis AI from 2020 to 2023 and as an Applied Scientist at Amazon from 2020 to 2024. Prior to these roles, Maryna worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Sociomantic Labs and as a Computer Vision Scientist at Samsung Electronics. They also held a position as an Assistant Professor at Sumy State University from 2014 to 2016 and earned a PhD in Engineering, with a focus on Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Methods from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University from 2011 to 2015.
