Mathew Monfort

Mathew Monfort is an experienced professional in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence. His career includes roles at Microsoft Research as a Research Intern, where Mathew developed methods for visual navigation through 3D mazes, and at Disney Research as a Machine Learning Research Lab Associate. Mathew currently serves as an Applied Scientist in Responsible AI at Amazon since March 2021. Previously, Mathew held a postdoctoral position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, focusing on deep learning approaches to scene understanding and human behavior. Additional experience includes working as a Research Consultant with ISEE on autonomous driving research, as well as a Machine Learning Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Deep Learning Intern at NVIDIA, contributing to projects related to autonomous driving and scalable inverse optimal control.
