Matthew Smith, PE is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical and robotics engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Robotics Hardware Engineer at Amazon Robotics R&D since April 2024, Matthew leads the module development for Vulcan Stow robotic pod stowing workcells. Previously, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Amazon from April 2014 to March 2024, Matthew oversaw the development of advanced vision systems for Amazon Go and contributed to biometric identity device innovations.
