Mauricio Tec

Mauricio Tec is an applied research scientist with over five years of industry experience, currently engaged at the Harvard Computer Science Department and the Harvard Data Science Initiative, focusing on reinforcement learning, large language models, and diffusion generative models. They have successfully led an AI team, resulting in significant publications and securing $1.5 million in grants. Mauricio previously interned at Intel and Meta, where they contributed to advancements in neural network resilience and model-based reinforcement learning, respectively. They hold a PhD in Machine Learning and Statistics from The University of Texas at Austin and multiple degrees in Mathematics and Political Science from various esteemed institutions.
