Melih Yılmaz

Melih Yılmaz is an Applied Scientist at Amazon, specializing in AWS Health AI. They have previously held positions as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Novo Nordisk, where they developed innovative approaches for drug candidate representation, and at Calico Life Sciences, focusing on machine learning for regulatory genomics. Melih has contributed as a Research Intern at Stanford University, modeling patient-reported outcomes, and has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, analyzing mass spectrometry data using deep learning. Additionally, they founded the Pacific Northwest chapter of Nucleate, leading initiatives to support biotech entrepreneurs. Melih holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koç University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Washington.
