Mike Dergance

Mike Dergance is currently the Head of Mechanical Engineering and Chief Mechanical Engineer at Amazon, leading the Mechanical Engineering organization for Project Kuiper. They previously held positions as a Senior Manager and Mechanical Engineer at Amazon and worked at Space Exploration Technologies and Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where they were responsible for naval vessel propulsion machinery. Mike earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and contributed to the SCARAB lunar drilling platform project while working at Carnegie Mellon University.
