Mike Taptich

Mike Taptich is currently the Science Lead at Amazon Sustainability, where they focus on implementing sustainability measurement solutions across global operations. Their background includes extensive experience in sustainability research, having worked as a Sustainable Transportation Researcher at UN Environment and as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at UC Berkeley. Mike held various roles at Amazon since 2016, culminating in leadership positions where they developed methodologies to enhance sustainability across retail operations and supply chains. They have also contributed to environmental litigation as an Environmental Forensics Researcher. Mike is pursuing advanced degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley and holds a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University.
