Mohammad Yazdani

Mohammad Yazdani is an experienced applied scientist with a robust background in machine learning, optimization, and operations research. Currently employed at Amazon since October 2017, Yazdani focuses on finance-related projects, developing models for estimating loan losses and optimizing portfolios. Previously, Yazdani worked as an applied scientist at Amazon from October 2016 to October 2017, creating ML models for supply chain management. Additional experience includes roles as an energy researcher at the Research Institute of Energy Management and Planning, an operations research analyst at Oregon Freeze Dry Company, and a development engineer at Construction Consultants, Inc. Yazdani has also served as an operations research developer at Deccan International, leading a project to create a simulation application for fire and EMS unit dispatching. Yazdani holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering (Operations Research) from Oregon State University, along with a master's degree from the University of Tehran and a bachelor's degree from Shahrood University of Technology.
