Mu Xu

Mu (Maverick) Xu is a Senior Communication Systems Engineer at Amazon, specializing in payload integration and testing, with a focus on RF communication systems. They have over 10 years of experience in optical and RF transmission system design, RF link characterization, and test automation, and hold 17 granted patents. Mu completed their Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018, following a Master's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. They were previously the Lead Architect at CableLabs, where they focused on algorithm design and coherent optical system evaluation. Mu has received multiple top-paper awards at the OFC conference in 2016, 2018, and 2022.
