Mustafa Avcu

Mustafa Avcu is a highly skilled professional with a strong background in engineering and computer science. Mustafa served as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California from September 2019 to December 2021, focusing on modeling large-scale brain networks and developing nonlinear models for closed-loop brain-computer interface applications. Prior to this role, Mustafa interned at A*STAR, where research on epileptic seizure detection using EEG channels led to the development of the SeizNet CNN architecture, which was presented at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing in 2019. Currently, Mustafa is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, and a brief study in Electrical Engineering at Korea University.
