Muye Chen is an experienced economist currently serving as Economist II at Amazon since June 2022, leading projects focused on model upgrades, pipeline automation, and stakeholder communication. Previously, Muye Chen developed and launched a new program for forecasting downstream causal impacts using a machine-learning framework. An internship at Amazon in 2021 involved enhancing the precision of downstream estimates for a causal tree model. Educational achievements include a PhD in Economics from Cornell University, along with an MS in Statistics and a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where Muye Chen also contributed as a teaching assistant and research assistant, resulting in a peer-reviewed publication.
