Nikko Ström

Nikko Ström is a distinguished expert in speech technology with extensive experience in leadership and research positions across multiple prominent organizations. At Amazon since September 2011, Nikko has held roles including Distinguished Scientist and Vice President, as well as Senior Principal Scientist and Principal Scientist. Prior to Amazon, Nikko worked at Microsoft in the Core Speech Team as a Principal Software Development Engineer, and earlier at Tellme Networks, where the position held was Director of Speech Technology. Nikko's career also includes research at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science and a role as an Invited Guest Researcher at ATR in Kyoto. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Speech Technology and a Master’s Degree in Technical Physics, both from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
