Nikos Lappas

Nikos Lappas is a Senior Applied Scientist in Supply Chain Optimization at Amazon, a position they have held since 2023, following their role as a Research Scientist at the same company from 2021 to 2023. They earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where their dissertation focused on robust optimization for scheduling operations under uncertainty. Previously, Nikos worked as a Senior Engineer at ExxonMobil and as a Research Associate at FORTH/ICE-HT, where they specialized in the performance optimization of a 3D Chemical Transport Model.
