Norman Townsend is a Principal Software Engineer at Amazon.com, where they currently hire experienced software developers and managers for AWS DocumentDB. After joining Amazon in 2010, Norman co-founded the Toronto office, contributing to its growth from a solo operation to a team of 2,000. Norman previously worked at BlackBerry as a front-end developer and has been instrumental in leading software teams, evolving from fewer than five engineers to more than fifty. They also served as a software developer for the University of Toronto Robotics Team, building an award-winning autonomous vehicle.
