Omar Oreifej

Omar Oreifej is a Senior Scientist at Amazon, specializing in computer vision and machine learning. They hold a PhD in computer science and have accumulated extensive technical and leadership experience in the field. Previously, Omar served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley, where they developed algorithms for a 3D modeling system, and as Director of Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Synaptics, leading a team to design deep learning solutions for edge-computing devices. Additionally, they led a biometrics team in creating successful fingerprint authentication algorithms integrated with sensors for major mobile and automotive clients.
