Parastoo Chu

Parastoo Chu is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in developing advanced data solutions and predictive models. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at Amazon since March 2025, Parastoo previously worked at Milestone Systems as an Applied Data Scientist, where leadership in developing an AI chatbot utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) was demonstrated. Prior experience includes a role as a Data Scientist II at Meta, where an end-to-end wearable size prediction pipeline was created, achieving 80% accuracy. While at the Allen Institute, a neuron organelles segmentation model was developed with 90% accuracy. Parastoo holds a Master's degree in Data Science from UC Berkeley School of Information, as well as additional credentials in Data Science from the University of Washington and academic degrees in Animal Physiology and Animal Biology from the University of Tehran.
