Peng Liu

Peng Liu is currently a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon, where they develop machine learning and modeling algorithms for speech and language applications. Prior to this role, Peng was a Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon, focusing on Automatic Speech Recognition and Natural Language Understanding. They also served as a Senior Researcher at a hedge fund, where they developed systematic trading strategies and advanced portfolio management systems using machine learning techniques. Peng has experience in academia as a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, where they taught various courses in mathematical finance and statistics. They hold a PhD in Mathematical Finance from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Mathematics from Zhejiang University.
