Penina Waghalter

Penina Waghalter is a computer science graduate from Yeshiva University, holding a BA from Stern College for Women. Experience includes an internship at the UVA Biocomplexity Institute, where Penina developed a network model for the spread of invasive moth species in Senegal using Python and pandas. Participation in the NYU AI School provided foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Penina served as a Software Development Engineer intern and later in full-time positions on the Chaos Engineering team at Amazon. Additional roles at Yeshiva University included a Teaching Assistant for Data Structures, a Peer Tutor for computer science projects, and the President of the Computer Science Club/ACM Chapter, where leadership involved organizing events to foster community engagement within the department.
