Qi Dong is currently a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, where they design multi-modal large language models and diffusion models for understanding tasks and image/video generation. Previously, they worked at Amazon Web Services as an Applied Scientist II and Senior Applied Scientist, focusing on visual-language models for document understanding and optimization of large language models. From 2019 to 2020, Qi gained experience as a Research Intern at Lyft, specializing in 3D visual perception for autonomous vehicles. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Sichuan University.
