Richard Groot

Richard Groot is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in safety and operations management. They served as a Senior Site Safety Manager and later as a Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, where they were instrumental in launching new sites and developing sustainability initiatives. Prior to Amazon, they held the position of Assistant Director of Educational Facilities at Alexandria City Public Schools, managing safety and risk management programs across multiple sites. Richard also contributed to safety and security improvements at Western Refining, leading efforts that resulted in a significant decline in safety incidents. They hold an EMBA in Business Administration from UNM Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development from Southwestern College.
