Rui Huang

Rui Huang is a Sr. Data Science Manager at Shopify, leveraging a strong background in data-driven solutions, causal inference, and machine learning. Previously, Rui served as Senior Manager of Economics at Amazon, where leadership in the Customer Trust and Partner Support organization enabled the development of scalable, science-based business solutions. Rui's career also includes roles as an Economist at the Department of Justice and as a Senior Economist at Bates White Economic Consulting. Additionally, Rui was an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut, where they taught applied econometrics and conducted research on public policies and industrial organization. Currently, Rui is pursuing a Ph.D. in Agricultural & Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
