Rulan Pan

Rulan Pan is a Data Scientist at Amazon, specializing in Alexa Shopping NLU since 2021, where they own speech routing quality in shopping-related scenarios and have significantly improved model performance by 4.2% through innovative architecture development. Prior to Amazon, they worked at Cisco from 2019 to 2021, designing a tree-based machine learning model that achieved an accuracy of 82%. Rulan also held positions at the Suzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission as a Junior Officer and completed internships in data science, including a capstone project at Columbia Sportswear Company. They earned a Master of Science in Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Austin and hold two advanced degrees in Economics from Renmin University of China and Beijing International Studies University.
