Ryan Merkin

Ryan Merkin is an experienced leader in building science and sustainability, currently focused on decarbonizing buildings and renewable energy planning and development at Amazon. They have a demonstrated history of implementing carbon reduction strategies for both new builds and retrofits. Previously, Ryan held positions such as Vice President of Business Development at BlocPower and Senior Project Manager at Steven Winter Associates. They also served as an instructor for building energy compliance seminars at The City University of New York. Ryan earned an M.S. in Geosystems and Climate Change Science from MIT and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University at Albany.
