Sai Shi

Sai Shi is an experienced research and applied scientist with a strong background in machine learning and data analysis. At NEC Laboratories America, Inc., Sai focused on data wrangling and the application of convolutional neural networks for real-time optical fiber sensing datasets. Prior experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at Asiainfo included developing an automatic alert system for 5G networks, achieving significant accuracy in anomaly detection through clustering and pattern-mining methods. Currently, as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, Sai designs scalable machine learning solutions for optimal capacity planning. Sai holds a PhD in Computer Science from Temple University, a Master’s in Computer Engineering from Arizona State University, and another Master’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UC Irvine, demonstrating a solid academic foundation with high GPAs throughout these programs.
