Sam Johnson is a Senior Software Engineer for Project Kuiper at Amazon, focusing on the flight computer systems for a satellite constellation aimed at providing global broadband internet. They have previously served as a Software Development Engineer II on the same project, as well as a Software Development Engineer at Philips, where they specialized in real-time ultrasound imaging systems. Sam began their career as a Technical Illustrator for Professor Robert Albrecht at the University of Washington, where they created graphics for a calculus book. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Embedded Systems, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Washington.
