Scott Duncan

Scott Duncan has extensive experience in foreign affairs and policy management, having served as a Foreign Affairs Advisor at The Joint Staff from April 2019 to December 2021. In 2025, Scott briefly held the position of Senior Policy Manager for Books Risk Management at Amazon. Prior experience includes roles at the U.S. Department of State, where Scott acted as the Deputy Director and Team Lead from September 2009 to May 2015 and led the Africa and South and Central Asia Team in the Office of UN Political Affairs. Additional roles include serving as an Analyst at SAIC from July 2004 to July 2007 and as Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council from May 2015 to May 2016. Scott Duncan holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy and International Relations from Princeton University, obtained between 2007 and 2009.
