Semih Atakan

Semih Atakan is a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, where they are part of a long-term network strategy team focused on complex operational challenges through scientific modeling. They previously managed a small team of scientists and developed research software that informs billion-dollar strategic decisions. Semih holds a PhD in Operations Research from the University of Southern California, where they also gained expertise in mathematical modeling, computational optimization, and stochastic programming.
