Sendil Thangavelu

Sendil Thangavelu is currently the Engineering Leader for Visual Search and Augmented Reality at Amazon, where they work on projects involving computer vision and data engineering. Previously, they held key engineering and leadership roles at multiple organizations, including Senior Director of Engineering at Mosaic and Head of Data Engineering at Toyota Financial Services, where they significantly scaled teams and enhanced data platforms. As a Co-Chair and Founding Member of the CDO Inner Circle with Evanta, Sendil contributed to a community of data executives from 2013 to 2019. They have a diverse background in engineering leadership, having also worked with companies such as Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Flextronics, where they initiated innovative data and analytics systems. Sendil is currently pursuing further education at SPJIMR SP Jain Institute of Management & Research.
