Shane Thoney is a strategic cybersecurity leader and CISO with extensive experience in risk management and global cybersecurity innovation. With a track record of developing advanced security strategies, Shane made significant contributions to MUFG, standardizing cyber programs that resulted in substantial savings and establishing the first global cybersecurity function. In previous roles, Shane directed teams at Union Bank and played a pivotal role in launching the first Managed Security Services Provider, ultimately working towards a successful acquisition by Verisign. Currently, Shane holds positions in IAM and Abuse Prevention as well as Fulfillment, Transportation, and Delivery Security at Amazon. Shane earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Arizona State University.
