Shanthi Nataraj

Shanthi Nataraj is the Director of Economic Research at Amazon PXT Central Science, where they lead a team using economic modeling and causal machine learning to enhance hiring, development, and retention of Operations employees. Previously, Shanthi was the Director of the Labor and Workforce Development Program at the RAND Corporation, conducting research on labor markets and workforce economics from 2010 to 2021. They have also served as a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and held engineering positions at Parsons and Radian International. Shanthi earned a BS in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University and a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
