Sharon Smith

Sharon Smith is a mission-based leader and strategist currently serving as the Responsible Sourcing Lead at Amazon, focusing on pulp, paper, and wood supply chains. With over 15 years of experience in sustainability strategy and implementation, they have previously held significant roles such as Campaign Manager for the Tropical Forest & Climate Initiative at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where they worked with Fortune 500 companies to adopt sustainable sourcing policies. Their past experience also includes leading campaigns at the Rainforest Action Network and serving as Program Director at the Earth Island Institute. Sharon earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and a dual degree in Anthropology and Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
