Shawn Abernathy

Shawn Abernathy, CPP, LPC, is currently the Senior Manager of Surface Transportation Investigations at Amazon, leading a team of 22 specialists dedicated to addressing supply chain theft and fraud. With over a decade of experience in investigations and risk management, Shawn previously held significant roles at Target, including Assets Protection Director and Investigations Team Leader, where they developed strategies to combat organized retail crime and theft. Shawn has also created strong partnerships with law enforcement and other stakeholders to enhance investigative efforts across various sectors. They hold a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and an Associate of Arts from St. Petersburg College.
