Shawna Cottrell

Shawna Cottrell is an experienced professional in learning and development, currently serving as a Senior Manager Risk Training at Amazon since February 2017, where Shawna leads a team of over 165 individuals and is responsible for training delivery for 16,500 learners annually. Prior to joining Amazon, Shawna held various leadership roles at American Express for nearly two decades, including Global Training Design and Delivery Director, where responsibilities included defining and implementing global training strategies for onboarding 5,000 customer service agents each year. With a Bachelor of Science in Management from High Point University, Shawna has built a strong background in instructional design, learning experience, and performance measurement across multiple global teams.
