Shekhar Jain

Shekhar Jain has significant experience in the field of thermodynamics and engineering, beginning with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, followed by a Ph.D. in Thermodynamics from Rice University. Jain's professional journey includes internships at Shell Oil Company and Dow Chemical, followed by a role as a Flow Assurance Engineer at Shell India Markets Pvt Ltd, focusing on thermodynamics and fluid behavior for major projects in Asia-Pacific. Jain later served as a Project Lead at Shell Technology Center Houston, leading R&D efforts related to asphaltenes and flow assurance. Jain continued to advance in the field as Team Lead for Thermodynamics at ExxonMobil, developing cutting-edge thermodynamic methods using machine learning for carbon capture and sustainability initiatives. Currently, Jain holds the position of Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, where machine learning and generative AI are applied to enhance operational efficiency within the global supply chain.
