Suchen Wang

Suchen Wang is a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, where they focus on Just-Walk-Out (JWO) technology, utilizing advanced computer vision and deep learning to enhance shopping experiences in physical stores. Suchen obtained a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2022, after serving as a Research Assistant there from 2016 to 2022. Their research interests include action recognition, object detection, and human-object interaction, and they have contributed to the deployment of large-scale computer vision systems for JWO stores. Prior to their doctoral studies, Suchen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology.
