Sumith Mathew

Sumith Mathew has over 25 years of experience in software development and artificial intelligence, particularly in natural language understanding and machine learning. Sumith held the position of Senior Manager in Software Development for Alexa AI at Amazon from September 2013 to October 2022. Prior to Amazon, Sumith served as a Senior Manager, Manager, and Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting from January 2004 to September 2013, focusing on Alexa Natural Language Understanding Systems and ML. Earlier in the career, Sumith worked at Sun Microsystems from January 1997 to October 2004 as a Staff Engineer and in various roles as a Member of Technical Staff. Sumith holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
