Sungyeon Kim

Sungyeon Kim is an Applied Scientist in the Visual Search Team at Amazon, where they focus on deep metric learning, representation learning, and retrieval for large-scale search and recognition problems. They completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at POSTECH under the supervision of Prof. Suha Kwak in 2023. Sungyeon also holds a Bachelor's degree in Undergraduate Studies from DGIST, earned in 2018. Prior to their current role at Amazon, they were a Graduate Student at POSTECH from 2018 to 2025, and previously interned in Applied Science.
