Tagyoung Chung

Tagyoung Chung is a Senior Applied Science Manager at Amazon, AGI Foundations, where they manage a team responsible for post-training models. They have previously held positions at Amazon as an Applied Scientist and Senior Applied Scientist, and have contributed to natural language processing research as an NLP Research Engineer at Nuance Communications. Tagyoung's early experiences include roles as a Data Engineer at Language Weaver and a Research Intern at Microsoft, where they focused on machine translation systems. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rochester, following a Master’s from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s from Yonsei University.
