Thorsten Freers

Thorsten Freers is a Senior Public Policy Manager for the DACH region at Amazon, where they focus on Last Mile Logistics policy issues, including the Postal Directive and Sustainable Transport. With extensive experience in strategic advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and public speaking, they have also served as a Lecturer at Führungsakademie Der Bundeswehr since 2018, discussing transatlantic relations and security policy. Prior to their current role, they worked at various organizations including The Aspen Institute Germany and the Bundeswehr, and held positions such as Senior Advisor on Military and Security Policy in the German Bundestag. Thorsten obtained degrees in Politics and Social Sciences from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
