Thuy Cao

Thuy Cao has a robust background in information security and program management, with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. From April 2019 to September 2022, Thuy served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Texas Health and Human Services, where responsibilities included overseeing the Information Security program and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Prior to this role, Thuy was the Information Security Officer at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, leading IT Security and Continuity of Operations Programs, and achieved a 22% improvement in security maturity levels in 2018. Thuy's career began at IBM as an Information Security Analyst, providing security consulting and ensuring compliance through the development of corporate security standards. Currently, Thuy is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon, continuing to leverage a strong foundation in governance, risk, and compliance. Thuy holds a BA in Business Administration from Cal State Fullerton.
