Timothy Ong is currently the Director of Hardware Development at Amazon Robotics, a position they have held since 2024. From 2022 to 2024, they served as Director of Hardware Development for Amazon Mechatronics and Amazon Scout, where they led a team in developing autonomous delivery robots. Timothy has over twenty years of experience in advanced aerospace and maritime robotics, having previously held key roles such as Vice President of Engineering at Liquid Robotics, where they contributed to the design of the Wave Glider. They began their engineering career with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, graduating in 1994.
