Tom Lorusso

Tom Lorusso is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in user research and human factors engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Research Manager at Amazon since May 2022, Lorusso focuses on strategic research planning for Amazon Echo devices. Prior to Amazon, Lorusso worked at Microsoft from 2010 to May 2022, where roles included Principal User Research Lead, overseeing teams to drive user feedback across various business verticals, and Senior User Research Lead for Xbox projects. Earlier experience includes serving as a Human Factors Engineer at SonoSite, contributing to the development of portable ultrasound machines, and as a User Researcher at Microsoft Studios, focusing on Xbox and PC games as well as Windows Media Center. Lorusso holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Binghamton University and completed graduate work in Human Factors and Ergonomics at Cornell University.
