Tuo Z.

Tuo Z. is currently an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where they conduct advanced research in machine learning. They are also a Ph.D. student in the vITAL Lab at the University of Southern California, focusing on distributed and federated machine learning algorithms and systems. Previously, Tuo Z. worked as an AI Research Scientist at Zoom, specializing in the optimization of Large Language Models, and as a Researcher at FedML, where they explored mobile device-based federated learning. Tuo Z. has also held the position of Supplier Quality Engineer at John Deere, ensuring supplier quality standards were met. They earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
